Following reports of sexual assaults involving migrants, protests outside the Bell Hotel Epping turned violent. It is rumored; the Home Office have moved the migrants 20 miles away to the Britannia Hotel Canary Wharf. On the evening of Tuesday, 22 July 2025, the Britannia Hotel ceased operations and declined entry to guests with existing reservations. A small group of protesters gathered outside, prompting the involvement of the Metropolitan Police. Police continue to be present at the hotel the following morning.
