The 2025 NAIDOC March brought together first nations communities and allies to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, advocate for justice and honour the ongoing struggle for Indigenous rights and sovereignty. The annual event featured speeches, performances and a march highlighting this year’s theme of resilience and self-determination. NAIDOC Week has its roots in the 1938 Day of Mourning protest, one of the first major civil rights gatherings led by Aboriginal activists.
