To strengthen the fight against tobacco and the protection of young people the Ministry of Labor, Health, Solidarity and Families announced a series of measures by establishing smoke-free areas from July 1, 2025. It will be prohibited to smoke in public parks, gardens and beaches bordering bathing waters, bus shelters, passenger waiting areas, schools, middle schools, high schools and other places intended for the reception, training or accommodation of minors, open spaces, libraries, swimming pools, stadiums and sports facilities.
