Siarhei Tsikhanouski is a former political prisoner and the husband of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, the democratic leader of Belarus. This is their first public meeting with the Belarusian diaspora. Tsikhanouski was sentenced to 19 years and 6 months in prison and spent over five years behind bars. On June 21, he and 13 other political prisoners were released and deported to Lithuania following the visit of Keith Kellogg, the special representative of U.S. President Donald Trump, to Belarus.
