Skywatchers around the world observed June’s full moon, which appeared unusually low and golden due to a rare lunar standstill, a phenomenon that alters the moon’s path every 18.6 years. The name "Strawberry Moon" was originally used by Native American tribes to mark the short harvest season for wild strawberries in early summer.
