Announced railway strike for Thursday cancelled in The Hague, Netherlands - 10 Jun 2025 by Charles M. Vella / SOPA Images
The announced strike on the railways for next Thursday will not take place. The unions have cancelled the action. The unions had initially announced that they would strike North Holland and East Netherlands for a better collective labour agreement. Trade union CNV says that calling off the strike is a deliberate choice, intended to cause unrest at NS. The unions had received signals that an alternative timetable was already ready. A spokesperson for the NS confirms that the strike had already been anticipated. "That now has to be reversed." He warns that this will not be possible everywhere. Text by: NOS News NL.
