Mustafa Yesilkaya, a 68-year-old artist of the Ministry of Culture who has been producing handmade tambourines in his workshop for 50 years said that young people are no longer interested in this craft. Yesilkaya is one of the last few masters of this art. Tambourines are used in religious rituals and as musical instruments.
