Protesters gathered in Castle Park as part of ‘The Great British National Strike’, which saw gatherings across the country in protest of a number of topics including immigration, and calling for a general election. A counter protest organized by ‘Stand Up to Racism’ also took place - a heavy police presence ensured that both events based off peacefully.
