Flames from the Eternal Fires of Tula, Smolensk and Moscow were brought by participants of a motor rally held as part of the "Flame of Memory" campaign. They started on April 30 from the "Bayonet" memorial in Zelenograd and covered over 2,800 kilometers. Their route passed through the Moscow, Tver, Novgorod, Pskov and Leningrad regions as well as Karelia.
The traditional “Be Worthy of the Fallen ’s Memory” campaign dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War took place at the Piskaryovskoye Memorial Cemetery.
