On the morning of May 6th, climate activists from the Last Generation (PL Ostatnie Pokolenie) group block the road leading to the Gdansk Bridge. The action is part of a series of events to coincide with High School exams and with the upcoming Polish presidential election. Rafal Trzaskowski, the incumbent Mayor of Warsaw is the Civic Coalition's presidential candidate. The climate activists direct their demands to him namely to redirect funding for new motorways to public transport and to introduce a public transport ticket for all priced 50PLN per month.
