Supporters of the Filton 18 gather outside the Old Bailey in solidarity with the Palestine Action prisoners being accused under counter terrorism powers of destroying Israeli weaponry being made at Elbit Systems ’s Filton facility in Bristol. A number of activists marched in to the factory in an adapted prison van in August 2024 and did damage to property including quadcopter drones of over £1 million. Police arrested the suspects under the Terrorism Act allowing them to hold and question the suspects for an extended time and they have all been remanded to prison ever since. The event occurs as it was revealed this week after a freedom of information request that counter terrorism police and the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) are communicating with the Israeli embassy giving them access to interfere in Palestine Actionist’s prosecutions.
