At least 27 tourists, including two foreign nationals, were killed and many injured on Tuesday after suspected militants opened fire in Baisaran Valley, a scenic spot near Pahalgam in Kashmir, during a scheduled four-day visit to India by U.S. Vice President JD Vance. Most victims were Indian, and officials have called it the deadliest civilian attack in the region since 2000.
