Iranians and supporters of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) rallied to demand an end to executions and protection for political prisoners on death row. They urged action to prevent the execution of five political prisoners: Mohammad Gholi Gholi, Ahmad Reza Jalali, Hamid Reza Sadeghi, Vahid Moshref, and Seyed Mohsen Sadeghi, linked to the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK). This protest in Paris was part of a global campaign across 15 cities in Europe and North America, coinciding with the anniversary of political executions under Mohammad Reza Pahlavi's regime, featuring the slogan, Down with the oppressor.
