Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra has delayed the Parliament's review of the casino bill, originally set for 09 April to prioritize urgent matters such as earthquake relief and US tariffs. However, opposition groups worry of the potential consequences and so have continued their protests. Earlier on 13 January 2025, Cabinet approved the draft bill, setting the stage for the legalization of casino gambling in entertainment complexes across the country.
