The 21st Extraordinary Congress of the Republican People's Party (CHP) is being held at the Nazım Hikmet Cultural Center in Ankara, upon the call of the Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Özgür Özel, under the slogan "The Will Belongs to the Nation." Özel became the "sole candidate" for the presidency. Before the vote, Özel gave a speech to party members, and then the congress continued behind closed doors to the press. After the congress, Özgür Özel, who was re-elected as the CHP Chairman with 1,171 delegate votes, held a rally in the outdoor area where the congress was held.
