The 21st Extraordinary Congress of the Republican People's Party (CHP) is being held at the Nazım Hikmet Cultural Center in Ankara with the slogan "The Will Belongs to the Nation" upon the call of the Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Özgür Özel. Özel became the "sole candidate" for the chairmanship. Before the vote, Özel gave a speech to the party members and then the congress continues behind closed doors to the press.
