The Casa Azul (Blue House) is the birthplace of painter Frida Kahlo where she also lived with her husband, the muralist Diego Rivera. The house was built in 1904 in the Coyoacán district and converted into a museum dedicated to Frida Kahlo's life and work in 1958. It is one of Mexico City's most-visited museums with about 500,000 visitors per year.
