Spring Equinox Ceremony in London, UK by James Willoughby / SOPA Images
Members of the Druid Order held a ceremony to welcome the spring Equinox at Tower Hill in the City of London. The Equinox is the point where day and night are of equal length. This tradition in the capital is one the most famous dating back to 1717. After a short procession through the city streets Druids dressed in white robes carrying flowers and banners perform a ceremony scattering seeds whilst making blessings for a fruitful year ahead.
