The air pollution caused by wildfires which is heavily contributing to hazardous air quality in the city of Chiang Mai is escalating to harmful levels for health. The measured amount of PM2.5 dust has rated the tourist city the 4th most polluted city according to the Air Quality Index (AQI) from the IQAir website.
