The traditional New Year's dive that took place each year around the country was organized in an original way in the city of Nijmegen.
Because this city was for four centuries, the largest and most important Roman settlement in the Netherlands, the organization of 'Limes Festival' placed a Roman bathhouse in the center of the city so people could go there to have their traditional New Year's dives.
