In the immediate wake of three murders of young women from Melbourne, and eighty-five murders of women in Australia in 2024, an estimated 3,000+ people marched though the city centre calling for an end to domestic abuse and femicide. Most donned orange clothes; the colour of the anti-family-violence organisation, Respect Victoria, who organised the event.
