Over the weekend at approximately 2:00 a.m., a 38-year-old female victim was walking inside of a residential building in the vicinity of West 44 Street and 9 Avenue, when Brandon Simosa allegedly followed her inside and requested cash. The suspect then took the victims purse and removed her cellphone and bank cards. The individual then performed a lewd act in front of the female before fleeing on foot. The victim was not injured. Brandon Simosa was charged at the Midtown South Precinct with Sexually Motivated Robbery 3rd Degree, Sexually Motivated Burglary 3rd Degree, Grand Larceny 4th Degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th Degree (4 Counts), Petit Larceny (2 Counts), Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree.
