The Madrid Forum against violence towards women has called for a rally in Madrid to commemorate the ninety-third anniversary of the approval of women's suffrage in Spain. On October 1, 1931, the Congress of Deputies approved the right to vote for Spanish women, thanks to the tireless work of many women and men, and especially that of Clara Campoamor, lawyer, writer, politician and defender of women's rights.
