The Canal Parade is what Amsterdam Gay Pride is famous for. It's the crown of their two weeks lasting festival that features more than 200 events. The boats start at the Scheepvaart museum in the eastern part of the city center moving towards the Amstel River. The Canal Parade starts around noon and takes all afternoon. Around 80 boats of different organizations and non-profit organizations are participating in the event.
