Both Iran and Hamas have blamed Israel for the assassination, which poses a risk of escalating into a broader regional conflict. Iran's supreme leader has vowed revenge against Israel. The protest is not only a response to Haniya's assassination but also a reaction to the targeted killings of Shia Muslims in Parachinar. Demonstrators expressed solidarity with the affected communities, condemning the violence, and calling for justice and an end to sectarian attacks.
