Since then The International Four Days Marches called "Vierdaagse" in Nijmegen have grown into the largest multi-day walking event in the world, the day before all the walkers went to pick their wristbands with the number of registrations, at the start point of the walk. More than 45,000 participants, (including the Armed Forces from other countries) will walk for four days in Nijmegen and its surroundings, where they, depending on their age and sex, walk a total of 120, 160, or 200 kilometers towards the Via Gladiola. This year, it's the 106th edition.
