This year's theme is “The Sun of the Russian Land.” The focus is on outstanding historical figures of Russia: the poet Alexander Pushkin and Prince Alexander Nevsky. “Viewers will see sand compositions depicting the heroic deeds of Alexander Nevsky, plots and characters from Pushkin’s works, made by masters from Russia, Belarus and India. In addition, the exhibition will feature a sculpture of the first cosmonaut of the USSR, Yuri Gagarin, who, as you know, was very fond of Pushkin’s fairy tales,” said the press service of the Museum of the History of St. Petersburg.
