Pro-Palestine demonstrators rallied in Brooklyn, New York City condemning the Israel Defense Forces' military operations in Gaza. The march took place following IDF military operations in Rafah in southern Gaza. Earlier this week, an IDF strike and resulting fire at a refugee camp in Rafah killed dozens of people. On Friday, the IDF said its forces are conducting operations in central Rafah. Since the Israel-Hamas war started on October 7, 2023, Gaza's health ministry said more than 36,000 people have been killed in Gaza, a territory ruled by Hamas. The death toll does not differentiate between civilians and combatants.
