Dancers participate in the 18th annual Dance Parade. 200 troupes dance their way along the parade route from 17th street and sixth Avenue to Tompkins Square park. Over 100 dance styles from all over the world are represented. This year’s theme is “Dance Free New York”, celebrating the revision of the city’s zoning regulations which restrict dancing to only 20% of New York City.
