Officers from numerous police agencies around Orange County, California were called into the University of California (UC) Irvine campus to clear out a growing Palestinian encampment taking over the center of the University. Students barricaded themselves into a circle, fortifying their perimeter with pallets of wood and various other objects to keep authorities out. A total of 50 protesters were arrested with the encampment being completely overtaken by police officials.
