Congolese protest in London, UK by Krisztian Elek / SOPA Images
Congolese diaspora and their allies protested front of the London HQ of Apple against the violence and the mineral exploitation in Eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), where the fights going on between the Congolese forces and the Rwanda backed M23 rebel group. The conflict created a growing refugee crisis, human right abuses and cheap labor for mining. All the minerals like Coltan, Cobalt, etc. can be used by companies like Apple to phones or batteries.
