Turkey elected local administrators who will serve for 5 years. The Republican People's Party (CHP) emerged as the first party in the elections for the first time in 47 years. For the first time since its establishment in 2001, the AK Party (AKP) fell to the second party position. Thousands of CHP members, who won the election, came to celebrate in front of the headquarters buildings in Ankara.
