Funeral for fallen NYPD Officer Jonathan Diller was held with hundreds of police officers lined up in front of the St. Rosa of Lima Toman Catholic Church. According to police reports, Officer Diller, aged 31, and his partner were performing a traffic stop for an illegally parked car in Far Rockaway. During the encounter, an individual in the vehicle brandished a firearm and aimed it at the officers, prompting an exchange of gunfire. Tragically, Officer Diller sustained a gunshot wound to the torso below his bullet-resistant vest and was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital. Despite efforts, he succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
