More than 6 thousand people line up every day to have iftar dinner in the tents set up by Diyarbakir Metropolitan Municipality at two points for the month of Ramadan. 16 thousand people in the tents set up by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality in 9 districts and 10 thousand people in 7 different points in Ankara, long line to iftar meal. Istanbul Municipality also provides food packages and financial aid to 200 thousand families. Apart from municipalities, some other public and private organizations also provide meals to thousands of people in separate tents. Despite this, many people return without receiving food because the food distributed in many centers is not enough. Due to the highest inflation in Turkey in the last 22 years, a large part of the country's population became poor. People are having difficulty purchasing food products due to excessively increasing prices.
