Palestinian Action Target Landlords of Israeli Arms Company in Manchester, UK by Martin Pope / SOPA Images
Palestine Action occupy the glass roof of property giant Fisher German. Fisher German lease and manage the factory used by Elbit System’s UAV Engines in Shenstone, Staffordshire. UAV Engines manufactures engines for drones including the Hermes 450, a surveillance drone also capable of carrying missiles. Palestine Action argue these drones and others are being used to kill Palestinians in Gaza and elsewhere. Palestine Action demands that arms companies like Elbit Systems and their partner companies stop providing weapons for Israel and shut down permanently. They have recently been targeting a number of companies with direct action which led to Fisher German closing their Birmingham office. These actions are intended to highlight the plight of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank but also disrupt the manufacturing in those businesses. Palestine Action have declared they will not stop their actions until the arms industry stops supporting Israel.
