The Kherson International Airport was destroyed during the first year of the War In Ukraine. The airport was taken by Russian troops in the first weeks of the Russian invasion and became a Russian base in the Southern front. The airport was heavily bombed by the Ukrainian forces and it was retaken by the Ukrainians in November last year
