The HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party), supported by a large part of the Kurds in Turkey, will enter the presidential and parliamentary elections to be held on May 14 with the newly founded Green Left Party. The emblems of the two parties are the same. HDP Co-Leader Mithat Sancar announced in Ankara that the HDP's closure case was ongoing at the Constitutional Court and that they had taken this decision in response to the possibility that their party would be closed. HDP Co-Leader Pervin Buldan also said in a statement today that they will not put up a candidate against President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and will support the opposition bloc that will fight against Erdogan.
