The Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden, formerly Siraj Bagh, boasts approximately 16 lakh tulips in over 68 varieties, which are the garden's main attraction during spring in Kashmir, which marks the start of peak tourist season. Thousands of people are flocking to Kashmir's blossoming almond alcoves and tulip gardens, which are described as therapeutic for the scarred psyche by some local mental health professionals.
