The Taj Mahal is a mausoleum located in the right bank of the river Yamuna - Agra, India, built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his favorite wife, Mumtaz. The Taj Mahal is considered the finest example of Mughal architecture, a style that combines elements from Persian, Oman, Indian, and Islamic architectural styles. The Taj Mahal is in the list of modern Seven Wonders of the World and It has also been a protected UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1983.
