Palestinian-Israeli conflict in Nablus, Palestine by Nasser Ishtayeh / SOPA Images
Demonstrators made a bold move to prevent Israeli settlers from going to Joseph's Tomb after staging demonstrations, attacking Palestinian property, and closing the streets surrounding the city of Nablus. This tomb has long been at the center of conflict between Jews, Christians, and Muslims. Some Jews believe that Biblically, Joseph is buried in the grave; Muslims believe that Sheikh, an Arab leader, is buried inside. Joseph's tomb is located in Balata village in the suburb of Nablus on the northern West Bank
