Devastating impact of Russia's war against Ukraine on Bogorodichne, Donetsk region by Mykhaylo Palinchak / SOPA Images
Bohorodichne is one of the many villages in Donetsk Oblast that have been destroyed by the Russians. Active hostilities continued here in the spring, and the village was occupied from summer to September 11, 2022. During this time, it was completely destroyed - not a single intact building remained. Now it is a ghost village. The only thing left behind by the Russians is ruins and mountains of garbage. It is noted that the invaders lived in a local monastery. The enemy struck at the church buildings after the Ukrainian defenders had taken control of the village and conducted a cleanup.
