Traditional Entrudo (Carnival) in Navalosa, Spain by Hugo Amaral / SOPA Images
In the village of Navalosa, men and women take to the streets dressed in striped blankets traditional to the region and masks covered in animal hair. Much of the disguise includes bones, horns and skulls, in a ritual of Celtic origin that chronology does not know for sure when it started. These figures, half man, half beast, are the Cucurrumachos of Navalosa.
