Inspired by the corny rhythms of Brazilian cheesy singers Wando, Reginaldo Rossi and Sidney Magal, Fogo e Paixão Block is one of the warmest blocks in Rio de Janeiro. The Carnival block is formed by more than 100 drummers such as Monobloco, Quizomba and Bangalafumenga. Among the rhythms played are xote, ciranda, coco, funk, maracatu e samba, and it attracts annually over 2000 people, dancing and singing at Largo São Francisco de Paula, downtown Rio de Janeiro.
