Sudanese people protest against the 'Framework Agreement' in The Hague by Ana Fernandez / SOPA Images
'The Sudanese refugees organization' in The Netherlands organized a demonstration in front of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in The Hague. On 5 December last year, the Sudanese military regime signed an agreement with part of the opposition. It was agreed that the army will withdraw from the government. But a number of political parties, the resistance committees and the trade unions refuse to participate in this so-called 'framework agreement'. Because of this, Sudanese refugees and civil society organizations tried to delivery in hand a letter to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs against this agreement, but even with the help of a police officer, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs refused to take the letter. The refugees also protest against the postponement of the decision by the IND (The Immigration and Naturalisation Service) on asylum applications. They want to get a right of residence, because Sudan is an unsafe country. The letter will be send via postal mail.
