The International Kite Festival Scheveningen makes the most of the consistent prevailing winds blowing along The Hague's beach resort. Kite builders and enthusiasts from around the world come together to fly the fruits of their creative labor. The annual event sees the skies over the southern part of Scheveningen beach fill with giant kites of every shape and color.Almost at the end of the event, The Holland Kite Team flew their large kite, which officially received the Guinness World Record during the Bristol International Kite Festival, in 1997.
