On the last day of her visit to The Netherlands, the the giant puppet 'Little Amal', a nine-year-old Syrian refugee girl and over 11-feet-tall walked around the city center of The Hague, where the House of Representatives is located, to interact with the people on the streets. This visit was organized by Amare, a new cultural hub as a part of the Open Festival. With her visit, Amal wants to grab attention across Europe to the plight of young refugees who have fled from Syria. During her visit to the city center, Amal was welcomed with a beautiful song celebrating living in harmony by pupils from the British School in the Netherlands.
