Hundreds of displaced residents of Mukuru Kwa Njenga Slums in Nairobi remain homeless following an affection from the ongoing demolition that has left many families scattered and with nowhere to turn to days after a directive order from the government to local residents to exit the slums for demolition in order to pave way for the ongoing construction of the Nairobi Expressway. Most residents who have called these places their home for over 20 years say they have no jobs and of all the pandemic has affected the economy leaving most of them jobless and now the government has also decided to hit them up.
