Two positive cases of covid in the community have been detected. The cases had travelled from Auckland in the last two weeks for the purposes of child care. Both cases are unvaccinated and were not using the government covid tracing app when they went to public places. Health Minister Chris Hipkins said there have been no major exposure events and that the two people are from the Christchurch suburb of Bishopdale where there is a 90% vaccination rate.
