'Climate Miles' walkers depart from Rotterdam train station to Glasgow by Ana Fernandez / SOPA Images
In the run-up to the United Nations COP26 climate conference that will take place in Glasgow, hundreds of climate activists are walking from the North of The Netherlands to Glasgow, to draw attention to the action needed to keep the earth livable for future generations. Led by Marjan Minnesma, a Dutch environmental activist and director of the Urgenda Foundation, the activists departed from the Rotterdam train station to Scotland. At the station, climate activists from several groups were there to see them off at departure.
