Global Climate Strike in Utrecht, Netherlands by Ana Fernandez / SOPA Images
This Friday, tens of thousands of kids in more than 60 countries went on strike to demand climate change action. #FridaysForFuture is a movement that began in August 2018, after a 15 year old Greta Thunberg sat in front of the Swedish parliament every school day for three weeks, to protest against the lack of action on the climate crisis. In Utrecht, not just students, but teachers, climate activists, from the whole country protested for better climate policies and to stop the destruction of the lands of MAPA (Most Affected Peoples and Areas).
